Mort & Co’s Beef Innovation Series aims to provide detailed insights into the experienced lot feeder’s imminent state-of-the-art feedlot and fertiliser factory development, as well as the latest on herd performance and sustainability from the company’s Predictor Plus grazing management software. Mort & Co CEO, Stephen O’Brien, says with an exciting future in Central Queensland, Mort & Co is taking the opportunity to share its plans as people flock to the beef capital.
“Our expansion into the Rockhampton region is an investment in the region and its people. We’ve been working closely with the local community and council for quite some time.
“With 120,000 people expected to descend on Rockhampton for the event, it’s a fantastic time to continue these conversations and showcase some of our most innovative projects.”

This year, Mort & Co has committed more support for the tri-annual event than ever before, taking up a position as a Major Sponsor. “Our investment in the event supports the beef industry and the local economy. Innovation has allowed us to bring new ideas to the sector that strengthen and sustain our industry and we are excited to share our story with the people of Rockhampton.” Mr O’Brien says. As the industry looks towards a pathway to Net Zero, the information around the company’s methane footprint and its work in the clime-tech space will be central to its innovation series. Mort & Co’s Sustainability Manager, Brad Robinson, believes Mort & Co’s new product development coupled with its progressive work in the feed additive space has the potential to change the future of the beef industry.
“As we continue to grow as a company, we’re conscious of our responsibility - not only for ourselves, but for the wider meat and livestock industry. As a result, Mort & Co has set out to develop more sustainable ways of doing business, with far-reaching benefits for our clients, customers and industry.
“Products like Mort & Co’s Predictor Plus, which will provide Australian graziers with access to new technology to forecast herd performance and methane emissions, prove our efforts to change our own footprint will have long term benefits for the entire industry.”
