LOT FEEDING SERVICES

Mort & Co through its subsidiary, Mort & Co Lot Feeders Pty Ltd operates strategically located feedlots to allow for increased numbers of cattle on feed, improved efficiencies and reduced overhead costs.

Gunnee Station and Pinegrove Station are operational, while Grassdale Station is currently under construction. These controlled feedlots are used for the production of cattle under the management of Mort & Co Livestock in conjunction with different custom yards in New South Wales, Victoria and Queensland.

GUNNEE Gunnee Station is a 3,600 hectare property located at Delungra in New South Wales. The property has approximately 2,200 hectares suitable for cropping, and the remainder is grazing country. The Gunnee feedlot has a current capacity of 10,000 cattle and is being expanded to 14,000 head during 2007/2008.

GRASSDALE Located at Dalby in southern Queensland, Grassdale Station is comprised of 5,615 hectares, of which 2,605 hectares are cultivated including 220 hectares which can be irrigated. The property will be used to dispose of manure and effluent as well as to grow fodder for the feedlot. Grassdale Station is currently being developed to 30,192 SCU (total license 47,952 SCU).

PINEGROVE Pinegrove is a 2,241 hectare property located near Millmerran in southern Queensland. The property houses a 15,000 SPU farrow to finish minimum disease piggery, and a 6,100 SCU feedlot (total license 21,100 SCU) plus approximately 700 hectares dry land and irrigated cropping country.
